How to stay out of debt? How to become debt free? People are asking those questions many times. Some of them got the invisible key for that, and others didn’t.

Live on less and love it!

That’s our best key and it really works. Try to live less than you earn and see how that will make a big difference in your life, your future as well. That key can save you more money for the future and keep you away from debt. Think it over!

Learning how to spend less than you earn needs skill and determination, but it can be done. Our key will work for us if we ask ourselves before buying anything “Do I need that?

Controlling your day-to-day expenses will help you control your monthly expenses so that it will be easy to save a lot of money for the future and stay out of debt also.

Here are some frugal choices helping us to live on less:

1) Food:

- Cook instead of buying fast food. If you don’t know how to cook, learn.

- Buy your needs of raw ingredients monthly, not daily.

- Buy from cheap stores. There is no need to buy the same commodities at high prices.

- Shop with cash when you shop for groceries and do not take a lot of extra cash with you.

- Don’t go into stores unless you need something.

- Take a list with you and stick with it.

- Avoid shopping the first of the month and right before the holidays.

- Cut eating out.

2) Housing:

- Find cheap property.

- If you see a piece of land you like, find the owner and ask if it’s for sale. It might be cheaper than you think.

- Buy energy-efficient light bulbs. The savings on your electric bills add up fast.

- Make sure you are not paying too much for your homeowners insurance.

- Try to lower your telephone bill.

- Close off unused rooms to save on heat and air conditioning.

- Be wise while using the water.

3) Other expenses:

- Try to find creative transportation and keep track of your gas mileage.

- Make sure that you are not paying too much for your vehicle insurance.

- Buy clothes at less expensive stores and it’s preferable to buy it out of season when possible.

- Stay away from dry clean and try to wash your cloths yourself.

- Take proper care of your body. Walking and rest are cheap.

- Cutting education costs as much as possible.

- Limit your entertainment to the maximum extent.

- Try a local vacation.

Once you know what you NEED and what you WANT, you will be able to manage your money very well helping you to cut your spending habits.
