Steps To Live Debt Free Forever

by admin on November 1, 2008

If you work the plan, the plan will work for you. That means we should think of making a good plan so that we will be able to manage and master our money effectively.

All debtors are searching for ways to become debt free for the moment they live in. We should change our way of think and try to become debt free forever. Shall we start now with some steps improving our plan of debt elimination!

Step #1 – Make your plan:

Make a suitable budget that meets your needs, your ability of spending as well. Record all expenses you want to pay such as rent, mortgage payment, car, gas, water, electricity, etc.

In this step, we should omit all entertainment expenses that we don’t need to.

Step #2 – Write the proper categories:

Be very organized and write the fixed categories in your notebook that your spending won’t be out of them. Omit now any item that has no relation with categories in your budget.

For example: your budget’s spending categories should include “Eating out”, “Home expenses”, “Car”, and so on. Never forget to add “Emergency Funds”, “Retirement savings”, and “School fee savings”.

This budget will help you to know where exactly your money is going so that you will be able to control your money.

Step #3 – Be organized:

Rearrange your budget so you should write down the most important things at the beginning and then the secondary ones. On the other hand, you should determine your priorities and write them at the top of your budget in order to pay them off first.

Through this step, you will learn how to schedule your expenses.

Step #4 – Stay within your budget:

Make a comparison between the total expenses and the total income in order not to be shocked at the end of a month.

With this step, we should pay more attention to the saving items that we have in our budget. These items are the magic keys to live in the future with no debt.

Step #5 – Ask questions:

It’s time to ask ourselves some questions and being honest with ourselves is the best key to do this step. For example: Should we move to a different area where housing is less expensive? Do I really need all those magazine subscriptions? What are some cheaper alternatives?

Once you answer all questions you have in mind, your debt will be dead soon.

Other tips:

- The best advice here is not to make two budgets in order to choose the best one from them. That’s completely wrong because you may waste money and time during making them. Just focus on one thing and then you can make some changes on it.

- Be sure that every dollar you spend is categorized and deducted from its appropriate category account balance.

- When you get to zero in one category, don’t spend any more in that area!

- Adjust your budget over time. Life changes, your budget needs to change too.

- Work out any small problem immediately with a bright mind.

- Never let others control your money. Master your money yourself!

- Stay away of any pressure or stress as it affects your life, home, and business.
